I’ve attached a link to an Ovarian Cancer Community. Hopefully you can find some of the answers and support you need. Congratulations on beating your cancer, that must have been really hard to deal with at the age of 16.
It sounds like you have special circumstances that need to be treated with care and concern by your health care provider. If your Dr isn’t willing to do fertility tests, there is always one out there that will. It will more than likely cost you more to consult with a fertility center/specialist, but if your worried about it I would reccomend it.
I’ve never had cancer, but I did have a procedure for endometriosis about a 1 1/2 years ago. My Dr. did a laparascopy to diagnose and remove the endo. She also checked "all my equipment" and blew out my tubes to make sure I would have no problems getting pregnant when I decided to try. The procedure took away not only the endo, but all the pain that went with it. (Adhesions can be removed during a laparascopy too.)
Laparoscopy is not that invasive, (out-patient surgery) and does not have a lot of down time. I would reccomend you look into it, if you haven’t already.
I got pregnant in November, not even a couple of days off of my birth control pills, so I know you can get pregnant after treatment for endo.
Best of luck to you.
Unfortunately, we cannot answer this question for you. Many cancer survivors are sterile from their treatments . . . and many recover and go onto have children easily. The body is amazing at healing itself.
I would consider finding another doctor. Given your medical history, they should at least be willing to do some basic tests and check you out!
Good luck!
Most bloggers are quite young so they will select from those who they have watched in the last twenty years when the Toon had their best team in 1990s. The usual suspects crop upShearer, Ginola, Beardsley, Lee, Gascoigne etc. Many will not have heard of Tony Green who only played for the Toon for a couple of years in the early 70s when they had an average team. Just look at this blog and see how often the name Green gets mentioned by the older generation who will be outnumbered by the youngsters on this blog. That says everything about Green who would have been a legend alongside Shearer, Milburn and Gallagher but for injury. He could not score goals like them but he was a much more skilful footballer. Genius.
